Summer School at Museo ICO 2014

On the occasion of the summer holidays, the ICO Museum and hablarenarte: organize a Summer School. The workshops is designed for children between 6 and 12 years and focuses on architecture, urbanism and photography, the thematic pillars of the temporary exhibitions of the museum.

The Summer School is titled “Objective: architecture. Photograpers for the city”, a theme that is borrowed from the temporary exhibition Fotografía y Arquitectura Moderna en España, 1925-1965, held in the framework of the 18^th edition of the festival PHotoEspaña.
The week-long workshops show the participants to discover new ways of looking at the buildings of our city and through the lenses of their cameras.

We will use the exhibition as the point of departure for the Summer Schools, where we can discover how the architecture and the photography of architecture have developed during Modernity and together we will look for new formulas to refurbish this genre There will be workshops, games, and occasional outings to the surroundings of the museum. The results of each weeks work will be on display at a final exhibition during the Saturdays that is open for families and friends who want to share with us the last day of each Summer School.
