Publication of The New Dictionary of Old Ideas
October 2020
Madrid
In dialogue with the program of public activities Scope for Action and the research process initiated with The New Dictionary of Old Ideas project, hablarenarte presents Término, termino, terminó. Semantic reflections on imprecise politics. This publication reflects the work developed in collaboration with the artists and thinkers involved in the different phases of the project.
The format of Término, termino, terminó plays with the idea of a 'broken dictionary' that challenges the logics of categorization and definitions, thus offering other ways of interpreting our most immediate reality. The publication displays a body of texts and images that show the different perspectives of the collaborators, daring to question the vocabulary that ties us to biased definitions and hackneyed concepts.
For this purpose we have gathered:
- Texts by Adrián Almazán, Marta Sanz and Mauro Gilfournier
- Interventions arising from the works produced in the residences of Erick Beltrán and Jiří Žák
- Visual contributions of the work of Diego del Pozo, Marco Godoy and Verónica Lahitte, who, among others, participate in the program of public activities Scope for Action.
The publication was edited by hablarenarte, Alba Folgado and María Alejandra Gatti.
