Publication Residencies Exchange

The publication Residencies Exchange aims to show the increasing diversity of the currently existent artist residencies. In this scenario, the dialogue between its organizers is essential to enable mutual learning and improvement, weighing in a critical way the work itself.

Through this compendium of texts and dialogues, "Residencies Exchange" delves into issues around 4 key concepts in the frame of artist residencies: mobility, reciprocity, academia and hospitality.

Residencies Exchange is an editorial initiative by hablarenarte made possible with the support of Centro de Residencias Artísticas, Matadero Madrid. The publication came about as a result of a meeting amongst artistic residencies in Madrid, within the framework of the art fair Estampa through PICE, the mobility programme of AC/E.

Activity organised with the support of the Madrid City Council's grant for contemporary creation and national and international mobility (2018-21).
