Plasti-Animación. Workshop on plasticine animation
CAMON Alicante. Avenida Ramón y Cajal, 5. Alicante
Plasticine animation is a technique that can be as complex as its practitioners want it to be. Going into a thousand details and intricacies to make this or that aspect more plausible can make this work into a collection of little hells that burn in the mind of the most motivated plasticine animators. But this is not the only way of going about it. You can also use an ingenuous or intuitive approach, leaving the fingers to play with a pristine lump of plasticine, and sowing the seed that will produce future plasticine animators.
The plasticine animation workshop in CAMON Alicante is a hablarenarte: event designed and led by Pablo Llorens, a Spanish animator who specialises in the stop-motion technique. Over three sessions, the workshop sets out to offer a first contact with animation, including the material potential of plasticine and the basic principles of filming. The aim is that every participant can produce a short animation.
