Los cuentos mágicos. Family workshops at the Biblioteca Nacional
Museo de la Biblioteca Nacional de España. Paseo de Recoletos, 20-22. Madrid
Los cuentos mágicos is a series of workshops for families with single sessions on Sunday morning and using books to provide the basis for artistic and literary development. Designed to take place in the literary workshop of the Museo de la Biblioteca Nacional over approximately two hours, parents and children will be able to develop their imagination through four ways of getting to know books better: “El libro de las personas del mundo”, “El cofre secreto”, “Historias diaproyectadas” and “El cuento chalado”.
The first activity is related to the visual arts and manual crafts; the second includes external objects that stimulate narrative creation; the third is based on the power of image and music; and finally, the fourth encourages participants to work together as a group.
These family workshops offer an alternative way of spending leisure time linked to the world of culture and, specifically, to contemporary art. This opportunity is increasingly attracting young families keen to enjoy the cultural life of their own city. It provides a different way of sharing leisure time, in which children and parents learn to see, play and get along with other families, respecting and getting to know all kinds of different ways of educating and seeing life as a family.
