Family Workshops. Historias escondidas
Museo Cerralbo. Calle Ventura Rodríguez, 17. Madrid
Among its educational activities, the Museo Cerralbo promotes a cycle of family activities for children six to twelve years old. Its goal is to help participants discover the nature of its collections through a variety of thematic workshops.
In th program hablarenarte: has designed for this cycle, workshops are preceded by a dynamic visit offering participants a relaxed and participative approach to the subjects addressed in each session.
In the “Historias escondidas” (“Hidden Stories”) session, families are invited to visit the palace of the Marquis of Cerralbo, where they use various optical instruments to search for the stories hidden in all sorts of artworks and supports: from murals and history paintings to fragile porcelains and delicate inlays. In the subsequent workshop, the experimentation begins as each family reinterprets some of those stories from a contemporary perspective.
