El hilo de Ariadna: program of workshop-visits for families
Casa del Lector. Paseo de la Chopera, 14. Madrid
Organized by Casa del Lector and AC/E Acción Cultural Española, the exhibition, “El hilo de Ariadna. Lectores, navegantes” (“Ariadne’s thread. Readers and Navigators”), offers viewers a possible voyage of learning through reading, featuring different mazes and tracing a path that runs from the world of myths to the communications networks of our time by way of other methods of transmitting knowledge, including biological structures created by nature.
The educational program designed for families with six to twelve-year-old children consists of a workshop-visit to the exhibition. The first phase of the activity consists of a dynamic visit to the exhibition, in which participants can discover various interpretations and contemporary artistic readings of the maze. The second part of the activity is a workshop related to the subject of the exhibition, involving practical experiments with the previously viewed contents to conceive a collective literary creation.
Each group of participants will weave its own map of the maze whose literary creations are found in the blog Siguiendo el hilo de Ariadna.
