Efe ’75. Guided tours and workshops for elementary schools.

Once again, and on behalf of Casa del Lector we would like to invite you for joining us for the workshops and visits that are intended for Elementary School students. The program will start in October 2015 and is realized within the framework of the temporary exhibition Efe’75. The history of the first global Spanish news agency.

By the means of photographs, documents, audio files and technical devices, the show follows the evolution of the Efe News Agency throughout its now 75 years of existence  - an evolution that is obviously closely connected to the development of contemporary journalism as well to the most important events of our recent history.

The program, intended for Elementary School students from 6 to 12 years, will take place everyTuesday and Thursday from 10.15 to 12.15 during the months of October, November and December. The first part of the activity consists of an active, guided tour through the show, during which we learn how a news item is being developed and what are the means for its. The second part also takes place in the exhibition site and gives a real life example on how the newsdesk of an agency is actually working: we create a a newsblog with news that will be published on the web and that will be continuously updated with the content of all the students who participate during the three months of the program.
